Harrison Jones

Dr. Harrison Jones is Professor and Chair of Communication Sciences and Disorders in the College of Allied Health Sciences at East Carolina University. He is a licensed speech-language pathologist with over 25 years of clinical experience working with medically complex adults and children with speech and swallowing disorders. His research interests include swallowing disorders across the lifespan, motor speech disorders, orofacial and respiratory muscle weakness, and behavioral interventions such as respiratory muscle training. His research has been funded by industry partners and the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Jones is the inventor of the Inspiratory Adapter 150, which is a commercially available product from Aspire Products LLC and is also one of the inventors of the Observer-Reported Communication Ability (ORCA) Measure, which is available for commercial distribution through Pattern Health.
