Speech-Language Services Across the Life Span
As a teaching clinic, student training is integrated into all patient care activities.
Evaluation and treatment are available in the following areas:
- Fluency/Stuttering
- Language Disorders
- Reading and Written Expression Disorders
- Voice & Resonance Disorders
- Cognitive Communication Disorders
- Articulation Disorders
- Communication Disorders related to Hearing Loss
- Accent Modification – Foreign and Dialect Re-training
- Swallowing and Feeding
All speech-language pathologists are licensed by the state of North Carolina and hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
Members of our clinical faculty also have training and/or certification in the following areas:
- LSVT LOUD®
- Listening and Spoken Language Specialist (LSLS™), certified Auditory Verbal Therapy
Specialty Groups/Programs
- Aphasia Support Group
- Positive Responses to Stuttering Program (PRSP)
- Literacy Groups
- Summer Camps
Our pediatric programs and camps are supported by:
- Scottish Rite Foundation of North Carolina
- Scottish Rite Valley of Winston-Salem
- Scottish Rite of Enfield
Most insurance is accepted. Self-referrals are accepted but physician referrals or orders may be required in some cases.
