Tricia Carter is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at East Carolina University. Mrs. Carter is a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist. She specializes in Early Intervention, and specifically with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Social Communication Disorder. Mrs. Carter is a Hanen-certified SLP trained in several Early Intervention Parent/Caregiver programs, including “It Takes Two to Talk” and “Spark” for children with language delays, “More Than Words: The program for Parents of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Social Communication Disorder, and “Learning Language and Loving It,” the program for teachers and childcare providers who work with children with language delays. Mrs. Carter runs Parent Programs annually for families of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as providing a Parent-Coaching 1:1 model in direct therapy sessions.
