Dr. Jorge E. González is a Clinical Associate Professor of Audiology in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at East Carolina University. He is a certified and licensed audiologist who also works as an educator, clinician and researcher. Since becoming an audiologist, he has focused his research and clinical skills on understanding the physiology, assessment and treatment of the vestibular system and its disorders. His specific interest is in the assessment of otolith function and the use of the clinical rotational chair.

Prior to joining East Carolina University, Dr. González was the Chief of Audiology at Emory University Hospital Midtown in Atlanta, and an Associate Professor of Audiology at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. In his different roles, Dr. González established and directed a vestibular clinic, served in administrative roles, and developed and taught multiple courses on different aspects of audiology. He has written several articles or book chapters and has given numerous presentations related to vestibular and other audiologic topics. He also serves as a peer reviewer for a number of audiology related journals.
